JEE Main 2025: The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2025 Session One will be conducted from January 22 to January 31, 2025. How to Fill Application Form

There is given below a detailed application procedure, Steps to Apply Online for JEE (Main) – 2025

Step 1: Registration

  • Register online and note the Application Number generated by the system.
  • Provide personal details, create a Password, and set a Security Question with an answer.
  • The Application Number will be used to complete the remaining steps and for future reference.
  • For future logins, use the Application Number and Password.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • Log in with your Application Number and Password.
  • Complete the form by providing personal details, selecting the exam paper, choosing exam cities, entering educational qualifications, and uploading required documents.
    • Photograph: JPG/JPEG format, 10–300 KB, 80% face visible, white background.
    • Signature: JPG/JPEG format, 10–50 KB.
    • Class X Certificate/Marks-sheet: PDF format, 10–300 KB.
    • PwD/PwBD Certificate (if applicable): PDF format, 10–300 KB.
  • Ensure you upload your own documents; incorrect uploads will not be allowed to be corrected later.

Step 3: Fee Payment

  • Pay the examination fee through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
  • Processing charges and GST will apply in addition to the fee.
  • After successful payment, download and print the Confirmation Page.
    • If the Confirmation Page isn’t generated, contact the bank for a refund and make another payment.

Important Note: Uploading someone else’s documents or tampering with your application, admit card, or result will be considered Unfair Means (UFM) and result in strict action. The Candidate has to upload only his/ her own photograph, signature, and certificate(s) as mentioned above.

Eligibility Criteria

The authorities have released the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2025 on the official website. The NTA JEE Main eligibility criteria include the list of conditions and requirements that students must meet to be eligible for the admission process. State of EligibilityThe State code of eligibility is based on the state where the candidate has passed the Class XII (or equivalent) exam, not their native place or residence. For example, if a candidate appears for the exam from Delhi but lives in Uttar Pradesh, their State code of eligibility will be Delhi.

Candidates should be among the top 2, 50, 000 successful candidates (including all categories)

Seat Allocation Process & Admission Procedure

  • Admission will be based on choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main) – 2025 through the Seat Allocation Process by CSAB/JoSAA.
  • Document verification (for identification, date of birth, qualifying exam, state of eligibility, category, and disability) will occur during the Seat Allocation/admission process.
  • Failure to produce authentic documents may result in exclusion from admission.
  • Gen-EWS, SC, ST, OBC, and PwD/PwBD candidates must provide original certificates in prescribed formats issued by the competent authority.
  • Candidates failing to present the required documents will not be considered for admission.

Multiple Choice Questions

To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner.

  1. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
  2. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1)
  3. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0)
  4. If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only
    those who have marked any of the correct options
  5. If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who
    have attempted the question

Counselling Procedure

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts JEE Main counseling for admission into the participating institutes. The counseling process will be completed in an online mode. Around seven rounds will be conducted by the authorities to provide admission into the B.E/B.NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs offer tech courses. JEE Main 2023 seat allocation will be done based on the availability of seats, preferred choices, and merit.
