Eligibility Criteria
We have mentioned below all the important information about the eligibility criteria for the reference of the applicants:
B.Sc Nursing | 1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. 2. The minimum educational requirement shall be the passing of a Higher Secondary School Certificate (12-year course). OR Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) OR An equivalent with 12 years of school from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) & English with a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks (PCBE). 3. The candidate should be medically fit. |
B.SC. NURSING (POST-BASIC) | The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the corresponding year. The candidate should be bonafide resident of Punjab. The candidate shall have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination. Candidates should have obtained certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Indian Nursing Council (INC) New Delhi and affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. Candidate should be registered as Registrar Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN, RM). Candidate should be medically fit. |
ENTRANCE/SELECTION TEST | The selection of the candidate will be based on the merit of the entrance test conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. |
GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY (GNM) | The minimum and maximum age for admission is 17 years and 35 years respectively. Minimum Education: 10+2 class passed or it’s equivalent preferably with science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) & English subjects with an aggregate of 45% marks. Students shall be medically fit. In addition to the above, admission procedures can be laid down by the concerned Nursing Council/Nursing Examination Boards. |
M.Sc Nursing (Two Years Degree Programme) | The candidates should fulfil the following minimum conditions to become eligible for admission to M.Sc. Nursing course. Should be registered nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any state Nursing Registration Council. Passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing. OR Minimum one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. SC/ST candidates will be eligible for relaxation of 5% marks in eligibility conditions.
