Central University of Karnataka was established by an Act of the Parliament of India in 2009, “The Central Universities Act, 2009”. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India. The University has a 654-acre campus, situated near Kadaganchi village in the district of Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The university holds the approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation with a ‘B++’ grade.

The University offers programs in six major areas: Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, Sciences, and Engineering. Admission Procedure

The admission process typically involves filling out an application form, appearing for an entrance exam, and participating in counselling sessions based on exam scores.   • Candidates may apply through the prescribed application form duly filled in all respects.
  • Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Central University of Karnataka is based on any one of the all-India Common Admission Tests i.e. CUET UG or CUET PG and other entrance exams & submit valid test scores not more than 2 years old.
  • The applications of the candidates not have a valid score in the entrance exam will not be entertained.

The merit list shall be prepared based on the students score from Section II: Domain subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects). 
B.Sc. (Geology)Students who have passed PU/Plus Two examination with 50% marks (45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant and nonmigrants pandits and having studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology. B.Tech (Mathematics and Computing)Students who have passed PU/Plus Two examination with 50% marks (45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant and non migrant pandits) and having studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). The merit list shall be prepared based on the students score from Section II: Domain Subjects  (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects). 
B. Tech. in Electronics and Communication
Students who have passed PU/Plus Two examination with 50% marks (45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant and nonmigrant pandits ) and having studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.  The merit list shall be prepared based on the students  score from Section II : Domain Subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects ).       
B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering
Students who have passed PU/Plus Two examination with 50% marks (45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER}, SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant and nonmigrant pandits ) and having studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The merit list shall be prepared based on the students score from Section II : Domain Subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects ).         
B.Sc. (Psychology)
Students who have passed PU/Plus Two examination from a recognized Indian or foreign Institutions/Board (as per foreign equivalence list) and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for OBC {NON CREAMY LAYER},SC, ST, PWD and Kashmiri Migrant and non‐migrant pandits ) marks. The merit list shall be prepared based on the students score from Section III: General Test. 
B.Sc.
