Central University of South Bihar is one of 54 universities governed by the Federal Government under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Government of India. Established in the year 2009 under the Central Universities Act, it was initially named the Central University of Bihar but was renamed in 2014 through the Central Universities (Amendment) Act. Located in Bihar, the university promotes its motto, “Collective Reasoning” and operates from a 300-acre permanent campus at Panchanpur, about 15 km from Gaya.
