The College of Engineering & Technology Bhubaneswar (CET Bhubaneswar) was established by the Government of Odisha in 1981 to meet the growing technical workforce need in the State. Since its inception, it has been a Constituent College of the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar. After creating a Technical University for Odisha State, the College has become a Constituent College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, with effect from 09th July 2002 as per section-37(1) of BPUT Act, 2002.

CET Bhubaneswar is affiliated with by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE New Delhi). The College is located in the Techno-campus (an area of more than 100 Acres) at Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar about 2.0 Kms. away from Khandagiri-Udayagiri caves.

Admission Process

For UG (B.Tech/B.Arch) Courses	One must have to clear the JEE (MAIN) exam with flying colour and must have secured at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in the Class 12th exam for any recognized board of India.
For M.Tech/M.Arch Courses	Admission to postgraduate M.Tech programs is on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE and through CCMT Counseling.
For M.Sc	Admissions to M.Sc. Programs (Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science) are based on the marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the Institute and the qualifying degree examination marks. A valid score in IIT Jam
For MBA	Admission to the MBA Program is based on the scores in the Common Admission Test (CAT) examinations.
For Foreigners	Admission for foreigners in UG/PG program is done through DASA (Direct admission of students abroad) based on SAT Score.
