Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc Nursing | Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or in a college or in the school of nursing in community health programme from the date of registration in the state nursing council after B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. (Honors) in nursing (or) after/prior to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing/Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (Candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. Degree from IGNOU or any other university through distance education are not eligible). Register with the State Registration Council for Nursing & Midwifery/ alternate course approved by the Indian Nursing Council. |
B.Sc Nursing | Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination after a period of 12 years of study in the subjects of physics, chemistry, biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physic, Chemistry and Biology ( Botany and Zoology). English subject in 10+2 is compulsory. The candidate should be medically fit. Admission of students shall be once in a year. |
Post Basis B.Sc Nursing | Passed higher secondary/senior secondary/ intermediate/10+2/ an equivalent examination recognized by the university/10 +1 on or before the year of 1986. Obtained a certificate in general nursing and midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the state nurses registration council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with the state nurses registration council, shall produce evidence of training approved by the Indian nursing council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:- O.T. Technician, Ophthalmic Nursing Leprosy Nursing TB Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing Neurological and neurosurgical nursing community health nursing cancer nursing orthopaedic nursing The candidate should be medically fit. Admission of students shall be once a year. |
GNM | 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from state open schools recognized by the state government and National Institute of open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the central government however science is preferable. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Registered ANM with passing marks. Admission of students shall be once in a year. Students shall be medically fit. The minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as of 31st December of that year) the upper age limit is 35 years. Selection: Selection will be done by Pre. Nursing Test & Interview. |
