Admission Procedure

For GNM Course

The Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to the GNM programme;

  • 10 + 2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 50% at the qualifying examination.
  • A list of the subjects to be considered for admission is given below. Any four Subjects, including English (three subjects + English) from the list provided below, are to be considered for admission. The student must have passed in all the subjects of 10+2 (five subjects as per the C.B.S.E policy)
    a) Physics, b) Chemistry, c) Biology, d) Mathematics, e) English, f) Commerce, g) Accountancy, h) Economics, i) Business Studies, j) Computer Science/Informatics Practice / Word Processing / Multimedia, k) History, l) Geography, m) Civics, n) Sociology, o) Psychology, p) Political Science, q) Home Science
  • Age – 17 years as of the Month of the Year of admission.

Selection Test

  • The selection test will be held on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at 09.30 am in the College of Nursing. It will be two hours (2 hrs) long and contain multiple-choice (objective-type) items. The test will be based on the secondary school certificate (10th) curriculum of Science, Maths, and some items of English comprehension. Candidates will be called for an interview on Friday, June 7th, 2024.
  • The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the College website and the College notice board by 2 p.m. on June 10, 2024.

For B.SC Nursing

Minimum Conditions of Eligibility for Registration

  • Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination/ Indian School Certificates Examination (12 years course) or an examination recognized as equivalent with 50% or more marks in aggregate of 4 subjects, including English core/ Elective, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, provided the student has passed in each subject separately.
  • 1.2 Only women candidates are eligible to apply.

Basic of Selection

  • The candidates will be selected based on the merit of the selection test. All candidates must appear for the selection test, irrespective of reserved or non-reserved category.
  • The decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.
  • Selected candidates will have to undergo medical checkups for fitness at Holy Family Hospital,
  • New Delhi, for which they will have to bear the expenses.
  • Admission will be confirmed only after the one-year fee is paid and all original certificates required for admission are verified.
  • All admissions are provisional, subject to the verification of original documents and Medical Examination conducted by Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi.

Selection Test

The selection test will be held on Wednesday, 29th May 2024, from 10.30 am – 1.00 pm in Holy Family College of Nursing. The selection test will be of two hours and thirty minutes (2 ½ hours) duration. It shall contain multiple-choice questions. The entrance test will comprise of a) Aptitude for Nursing 20 marks, b) Physics 20 marks, c) Chemistry 20 marks, d) Biology 20 marks, e) English 20 marks. Students are required to download and print the admit card and bring along with at the time of appearing for the selection test.

For M.Sc Nursing

  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • NOTE: Simultaneous attendance in other courses is not permitted.

For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination
  • 50% marks in General Nursing and Midwifery from INC recognized institution.

Documents Required

The students shall be required to submit the following self-attested documents along with the application form in original:

  • Class X Board Examination Certificate
  • Class X Marks Sheet
  • Class XII Marks Sheet
  • Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
  • For master’s courses, graduation documents
  • Character Certificate (recent)
  • SC / ST Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the Candidate’s name) issued by the competent authority.
  • A transfer certificate from school /college and a Migration Certificate from Board/University are required from those students who have passed the senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.
  • Three passport-size self-attested photographs.
