JEE Main 2024 Seat Allotment Process
JEE Mains Seat Allotment process will be commenced after the declaration of JEE Mains 2024 results. The aspirants have to follow these steps at the time of choice filling and locking:
Step-1: Online Application
- First, you have to visit the official website of JoSAA,
- then Click ‘The registration link and fill required details.
- Fill in all the details carefully before clicking on the submit button.
- Pay for the counselling Fee through challan, debit card or credit card.
Step-2: Choice Filling
- Log in to your account, mark college options, and Fill in your college as per your choice and preference.
- Choose your college carefully and according to your merit.
- The candidate’s choices will not change under any circumstances once it’s submitted.
Step 3 – Seat Allotment/Allocation Process
- JEE Mains Seat Allotment is based on aspirants’ merit and choices in JoSAA and CSAB.
- The Counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds, and thus, seat allotment is carried out in each round.
- Once the allotted seat is rejected, aspirants will be allowed to participate in the other rounds of counselling.
- After the JoSAA seat allotment, the CSAB counselling process will take place.
Step-4: Seat Allocation Fee Payment:
To confirm the seat, candidates must pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or e-Challan.
- The seat acceptance fee (SAF) for all the aspirants except SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PWD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD is Rs 45,000.
- Aspirants who belong to SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PwD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD categories will pay Rs. 20,000 as SAF
Step-5: Document Verification:
- The aspirants must go through the document verification process at the help centres.
- Report at the allotted centre for document verification by the officials and reserve a seat.
Step-6: Reporting at the Allotted college/Institute:
After the document verification, aspirants must report to the allotted institute/College, pay the institute’s balance fees, and confirm their admission.
