Lalit Hari State Ayurveda College Pilibhit was established in 1899 to disseminate knowledge of Sanskrit and Ayurveda. It was initiated by Late Sahu Lalita Prasad and his younger brother Late Sahu Hari Prasad, on their land. The college stands as one of the oldest Ayurveda institutions not only in the state but also in the entire country. In 1939, the college management decided to transform it into an Ayurveda college in Uttar Pradesh. Then, in 1959, the State Government assumed control of the college’s management.
