NEET UG Counselling 2024: Revised Dates (Out), Registration begins on Aug 14, Process, Document, Fees, Result etc.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the new NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule. Registration and fee payment for the first round will start on August 14, 2024, and end on August 15, 2024. Students can fill in and lock their choices for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats from August 16 to August 20, 2024.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will handle the counselling for NEET UG 2024 for students who qualify. The dates for NEET counselling 2024 will be shared here once they are announced. About MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)

MCC was created based on orders from the Supreme Court and government notifications. Its main job is to handle online counselling for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in undergraduate courses, 50% of AIQ seats in postgraduate courses, and all seats in super-speciality courses (DM/MCh). MCC was given this role to make the admission process in medical and dental colleges in India more organized and consistent.

Central University Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2024 Counselling

Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi3 BDS seats are under the internal quota of JMI, and 47 seats are available to All India quota candidates. Students who have passed their 10+ 2 from Jamia Schools can apply for the internal quota.
VMMC & SJH15% seats for All India and the rest for Institute Quota for students who passed their 10+2 from Delhi.

Counselling for 15% All India Quota

  • The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India, will hold the Counselling for 15% of All India Quota Seats.
  • All deemed central state universities will participate in online counselling.
  • This counselling will also fill ESIC, AFMC, BHU & AMU seats.
  • Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats per the directions of DGHS, and Counselling will be stopped as soon as the seats are filled.
  • Through this counselling, candidates can get enrolled in any of the medical colleges in India.
  • Those candidates who participate in All India Counselling can also participate in State Counselling of their respective states.

MCC NEET Counselling Process for AIQ Quota

Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in India must register for the AIQ NEET counselling 2024. Counselling of NEET for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

  1. Candidate Registration: Register on the official website.
  2. Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock in the preferences in the online portal.
  3. Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online based on available vacancies and candidate’s choices.
  4. Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.
  5. New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.
  6. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1 mentioned above.
  7. Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1 mentioned above.
  8. Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted that those who will be allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme Court of India.
