Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification | A recognized board or university must complete the HSC exam in any stream by the applicant. |
Qualifying Marks | General category applicants must score more than 45% in the qualifying exam. Reserved category applicants must score at least 40% in the HSC exams. |
Subjects | One must have physics, chemistry, biology – botany, zoology, and English as mandatory subjects in the HSC exams. |
Age Criteria | Applicants must be above the age of 17 years at the time of admission. The authorities decide no maximum age limit for the applicants. |
Recognized Board | Applicants who want to be admitted to the university must have cleared the HSC exam from a recognized board like AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE, or an equivalent board. |
M.Sc Nursing
Nationality | Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the entrance exam. |
Qualifying Marks | Applicants must have scored not less than 55% marks in the bachelor’s degree in a nursing course or equivalent exam. Reserved category applicants must score at least 50% marks in the qualifying exams. |
Educational Qualification | An applicant who wants to get admission to M.Sc. Nursing courses must have completed a bachelor’s degree in the nursing course from a recognized board or university. Applicants who have completed a post-basic degree in nursing or an honours degree from a recognized university or institution are also eligible to apply for admission. |

Exam Pattern
B.Sc. Nursing Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: The entrance exam will be conducted offline (pen- and paper-based test).
- The type of Questions: MCQ will be asked in the question paper.
- Questions: The entrance exam will ask 50 questions for 100 marks.
- Marks: The applicant will receive two marks for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: Each incorrect answer will deduct ½ marks from the exam.
- Exam Language: The entrance exam question paper will be published in English and Bengali.
- Exam Duration: Applicants will get two hours to solve the paper.
The question paper will be divided into two papers, as mentioned below:
- Paper 1: physics and chemistry

M.Sc. Nursing Exam Pattern
- The question papers for the Admission tests will be set in English and comprise 100 multiple-choice questions of the single-best-response type.

Counselling
B.Sc Nursing
No separate counselling process will be conducted for the applicants. The JENPAS- UG Authorities will provide admission based on the merit list and marks they secured in the entrance exam. The Central Selection Committee will conduct a different counselling round for the qualified applicants.
M.Sc Nursing
In the counselling round, applicants must open the particular link and fill out the registration form to partake. After that, applicants need to opt for the choice along with their preference and secure the choices filled out during the counselling round.
When the counselling round is done, applicants must download seat allotment letters from the university’s official website. When the seats are chosen for the applicants, they need to visit the allotted college with all crucial pamphlets and credentials.
