B.Sc. NursingCandidates must have passed in PCB and English papers individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks together in PCB papers at the II PUC or 12th Standard. Candidates belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes shall obtain 40% marks in PCB papers together in the qualifying examination.

Step 1: Enter all the details ONLINE by browsing the URL on the official website (http://kea.kar.nic.in) by selecting “B.Sc Nursing, B.P.T, B.P.O and Allied Health Sciences-2024 Online Registration”. After completing all the details, candidates will receive an application ID and Password to their registered mobile phone number and email address, and the same information will be displayed on the screen.
Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of the recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG / JPEG format separately.
Step 3: The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in the prescribed method.
Step 4: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper, and the same copy should be produced during document verification.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Nursing

QualificationCandidates must have passed B.Sc Nursing (Basic) or B.Sc. Hons. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc
Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from RGUHS, or any other University located in Karnataka state, accepted as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. The INC should have recognized the institution. SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
NationalityCandidates must be a citizen of India.
Other QualificationPassed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (RGUHS), or any other University accepted as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), in a Hospital or Nursing educational Institution or Community Health setting (completed or completing on or before Date of Counselling. For a candidate with Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing Degree, no such experience is needed after graduation.
Entrance TestThe Candidate should not have attained the age of 45 years on the
the last date fixed for submission of an application to the PG Degree Entrance Test.

M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Exam

The examination will be conducted at Predetermined Test Centers in Bangalore
only. The details of the Test Centre will be intimated in the Hall Ticket. The place & date
will be intimated on the KEA website.

Marks & DurationThere will be one Question Paper (booklet) consisting of 100 questions with 90 minutes.
Question TypeQuestions will be of objective type, each question having one best response out of four possible alternatives.
Marking SchemeEach question carries one mark. The correct answer will be awarded- one mark. If more than one alternative is marked for a question, it will be treated as a wrong answer. Wrong answers carry no marks.

Determination of Merit and Publication of Results:

  • A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the
  • Entrance Test.
  • Provisional Merit lists will be published on the KEA website.
  • The minimum percentage of marks for admission eligibility is 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories.

Computation of result Criteria:

  • 50% in PGET for “GM” and >=40% in PGET for “SC, ST & OBC”
  • Marks Secured in PGET (1st Order) – Descending.
  • If candidates have secured the same marks in PGET, then go to Total No. of Attempts taken in UG (2nd Order) – Ascending.
  • If candidates have secured the same marks in PGET & the same Total No. of attempts taken in UG, then go to % of total marks secured in UG (3rd
  • Order) – Descending
  • If candidates have secured the same marks in PGET, the same Total No. of attempts taken in UG & same % of total marks in UG, then go to % of final year marks secured in UG (4th Order) – Descending.

NOTE: For admission to M.Sc. For nursing and MPT, the candidate should have obtained at least 40% in the entrance examination as per Government order No. MED 122 RGU 2024, Bangalore dated 21-10-2024.

Counselling & Seat Allocation

Counselling & Seat Selection: the counselling will be conducted online. The Counseling dates for each faculty will be published on the KEA Website. No individual intimation will be sent to the candidates.

Availability of Seats in different courses and colleges: Details of the precise number of seats in different courses and colleges, their classification and the category-wise reservation will be announced as soon as they receive it from the Government.
