MDCAT 2024 Dates (Out)

The NMDCAT date is 22 September 2024. Soon after the FSC examination, officials will announce the decided date. However, last year, due to COVID-19 situations, the test was conducted in three phases.

  1. 15th to 31st August
  2. 5th to 20th September
  3. 30th September for COVID students only

MDCAT 2024 Conducting Bodies

  • UHS: For Punjab students
  • KMU: For Kpk Students
  • Dow University: For Sindh students
  • Bolan University: For Balochistan Students.
  • Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University: For Islamabad Students.
  • Test Will Be conducted Provincially (Same Day in Punjab KPK and GB) and some other same day in Sindh and Balochistan late due to high floods.
  • The syllabus and Paper pattern will be the same as that of PDMC.
  • The test will be conducted by the Uni of the respective Province
  • There will be a physical Paper-pen based exam.

MDCAT Paper Pattern

There will be no negative marking in the National MDCAT. The total marks will be 210—a total of 210 multiple-choice questions. The total time for the paper is 3.5 hours. This means that for a single MCQ, you will get one minute. This is more than enough if you have prepared well for the examination.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Any person (Pakistani/Overseas Pakistani/Foreign National) shall be eligible
    to register for and attempt the MDCAT examination.
  • FSC/HSSC/A level result/degree IS NOT required for MDCAT
    registration.
  • A candidate is permitted to take the MDCAT exam only once in each
    calendar year.

Merit Criteria Will be

  • MDCAT 50%
  • Fsc 40% (Didn’t tell whether whole fsc or sciences)
  • Matric 10%

Additional marks will be given to Hufaaz and Special Students to appreciate them.

Passing criteria

  • 55% (130 out of 200) for admission into Medical Colleges
  • 50% (110 out of 200) for admission into Dental Colleges.
