The University of Balochistan Quetta, also known as Balochistan University, is situated in the midtown area of Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. Admission Procedure

To gain admission in Pakistan, you need to pass the National Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT). It’s important to note that eligibility for the exam is all that’s required.

Merit Calculation:

Admission merit will be determined by calculating an Aggregate Percentage of marks. This is done by assigning weightage to the marks obtained by the candidate in various exams.
1. Matriculation/SSC/Equivalent – 10%
2. F.Sc./HSSC Pre-Medical / equivalent – 40%
3. MDCAT – 50%

iii. The final calculation in percentage will be rounded up to four decimal points.
iv. No marks will be deducted for the candidate’s extra attempts in the HSSC/equivalent examination beyond two years after passing the SSC/ Matriculation annual examination.

The application process will be fully online, with no manual or hard copies accepted. Candidates will be considered for admission once they complete and submit the Online Application Form, along with payment of the non-refundable Processing Fee according to the procedure.

  2. Visit the Online Admission Portal for Government Medical and Dental Colleges on the UHS website.
  3. Create an account by providing your Name, Father/Guardian Name, Email ID, and Password.

  5. Fill in personal details and contact information on the application form.
  6. Enter qualification details, including SSC and HSSC marks.
  7. Provide MDCAT or other admission test scores.
  8. Select the order of preference for medical and/or dental colleges.
  9. Upload scanned documents within specified size limits.
  10. Acknowledge the Undertaking/Affidavit and verify information before submission.

Documents Required

  1. Matriculation (SSC) certificate or result card from the concerned BISE, or Equivalence Certificate for O-Level issued by the IBCC.
  2. HSSC Pre-Medical result from the concerned BISE, or Equivalence Certificate for foreign examinations (e.g., A-Level, IB, American 12th Grade) issued by the IBCC. For candidates with foreign qualifications, original results showing grades in science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics) are required.
  3. For candidates with foreign qualifications equivalent to Pakistani HSSC, a Letter of Equivalence of Grades in Science Subjects issued separately by IBCC is mandatory.
  4. MDCAT result card issued by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). Repeat candidates can use their MDCAT-2024 result.
  5. Domicile certificate of the candidate. For Overseas Pakistanis/Dual Nationality Holders, Punjab domicile of Overseas Father/Mother is acceptable for candidates born outside Pakistan.
  6. Valid CNIC/CRC/NICOP/Passport of the candidate.
  7. Valid CNIC/NICOP/Passport of the candidate’s father/mother.
  8. Recent passport-size color photograph of the candidate on a white or sky-blue background.
  9. Specimen signatures and left thumb impression (LTI) of the candidate in blue/black ink on white paper.
  10. Hifz-e-Quran Certificate issued by Wafaq ul Madaris for Pakistani candidates or relevant national authority for overseas candidates (only for candidates claiming to be Huffaz-e-Quran).
